Help Your Constituents and Enact Universal Healthcare

I am your constituent and I want you to know that the status of healthcare in the US is declining. If you are rich it is just fine but there are 80 million people on Medicaid administered by the states and if there is a cut to the Medicaid budget then between 3 million and 20 million will lose health insurance due to trigger laws and the inability of states to cover the cutbacks. The ACA is at risk, and about another 10% of the US population has no health insurance. All of this takes a toll on our country. The medical bills we can’t afford send millions of us into bankruptcy and our life expectancy is way behind the rest of the developed world because so many of us do not have access to medical care and prevention. We are technical leaders in healthcare but tens of millions of us are not able to benefit from those advances to save our lives because we are not rich or we live in the wrong state. We need Universal Healthcare and I am strongly urging you to create a public Universal Healthcare Insurance Trust for all Americans so that all of us can go to the doctor when we are sick. Let me remind you that every philosophy and religion calls upon us to care for those who need help. We need help and you are in the right position to do it. Please help. Thank you.
