An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Be true to the First Amendment right to Free Speech!

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

I’m deeply concerned about this administration's recent threats and attacks on free speech and free press. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert was abruptly canceled, Jimmy Kimmel Live! was suspended after a comment about Charlie Kirk's killer suspectedly being MAGA, JD Vance encouraged folks via podcast to dox others for their beliefs, and Marco Rubio said he would rescind visas for those who make comments regarding Kirk's death. These actions are political retaliation and fear mongering. Please take steps to protect free expression from political interference. Free speech is a cornerstone of democracy. Government censorship is a cornerstone of authoritarian regimes.
