Oppose Trump’s Military Expansionism

I’m writing to urge you to forcefully oppose the Trump administration’s dangerous imperialist agenda targeting Western Hemisphere nations and territories. Following the Venezuela military operation, the administration has escalated calls for military intervention in Greenland, Mexico, Cuba, and Colombia under a so-called “Donroe Doctrine.” The White House has stated that using U.S. military forces to seize Greenland is “always an option”—a move that would violate international law and destroy our NATO alliance. Congress must reassert its constitutional authority over war declarations and federal spending. I ask that you: • Publicly oppose Trump’s calls to take over Greenland • Support a War Powers Resolution blocking military intervention without congressional approval • Support provisions in the FY2026 Defense Appropriations bill that block funding for unauthorized military interventions • Support articles of impeachment for Trump’s repeated defiance of the law This administration’s lawless military expansionism threatens our international relationships and puts U.S. interests at risk.
