Tell the president to leave Harvard alone. This is administration is waging its very own cultural revolution in a way that is going to gravely harm academic excellence in the United States. The institutions that Trump is attacking are economic engines that do the basic science that make commercial progress in the country possible and have made us a beacon for brilliant minds around the world. People who seek their education at our finest universities are driven, creative and intelligent and often stay, when the immigration climate is welcoming, and help fuel our economic engine. If you turn away foreign students from Harvard, what institution is next? Defunding science and restricting foreign students is pure insanity and we are all going to pay for it with economic decline, progressive ignorance and a falling standard of living. If you can’t see that what is happening is completely un-American then something is wrong with you. It is your duty to standup for your constituents and fight against the assault on our research institutions because while only a rare individual is able to go to Harvard or our other elite universities we all benefit from those who go there to pursue those fields that advance the understanding of our complex world including those from foreign lands who bring diverse insights, unique cultures and knowledge that increases
the available creative stock that are essential for progress. Please stand up against the madness.
