WATCH OUT FOR THE GOP DIRTY TRICKS COMING TO YOUR STATE

Here we go. Political knife-fighting is in full bloom. As it’s astounding how far you can go if you throw truth under the bus and disregard any limits to moral corruption. This is the GOP superpower. Example. The Voting Rights Act is, for all intents purposes, dead. The supposedly color-blind party, opposed to all things ‘woke’, dedicated to achievement gained through personal merit and hard work, received a gift from SCOTUS that they had hoped for for years. Given the go-ahead to gerrymander states inclined to do so, to make certain only Republicans could win elections going forward. Meritorious or not. Tennessee is the poster child. The state, who currently had only one federal Democrat, will now have none. Minority representation across the south will plummet. Or disappear entirely. And not because there are no worthy Democratic candidates. But because the GOP has been presented the means to achieve an uneven playing field and they are running with it. Because they cannot win any other way. The GOP version of DEI. And they will spout that it is not racially motivated, only politically motivated, which is the same thing. Just with more hypocritical language. Then we have the Rural Health Transformation Program, a $50B fund aimed at strengthening overall health care in rural America. Where I live. Voted for by GOP Senators and being touted in campaign ads. Ads which are misleading. They wholly ignore that the program was needed only because of the sizable cuts to Medicaid that Republicans made elsewhere in the same sweeping One Big Beautiful Bill Act. They don’t mention that any funding through the RHTP won’t come close to replacing losses from Medicaid cuts. They took away a comprehensive health plan and replaced it with a bottle of aspirin and a box of bandaids and want you to thank them for it. Unfortunately these dirty tricks work. And if they do this election cycle, our country will absolutely be ruled by a majority we do not want. They will continue to protect a president that is making a mockery of America. They will continue to ignore us. And they will say they have a mandate from we the people, when it’s just the opposite. But it didn’t work in Hungary did it? The people have the power. If we stand strong and use it. Do that.
