I oppose the “SAFE Cities Act.”

I read about your proposed SAFE cities act, and I am disappointed. I oppose this act. This act is based on fear mongering and propaganda. If you actually listen to the people who are present in LA, the situation is manageable. This is a manufactured crisis. What should be more concerning is the aggressive, militaristic tactics being used by ICE for mass deportations, which are harming many members of our communities. It’s my understanding that you are Catholic. There’s a reason the Catholic Church stands against mass deportations, with Pope Francis himself referring to this plan as evil. I would encourage you to listen.
