Call Out Trumps Inflammatory Rhetoric - We’re not “Radical Leftist Scum”

I didn’t vote for Donald Trump. I disagree with many of his policies. But I’m not “radical leftist scum” or “vermin” or part of the “enemy within” that needs to be dealt with by the military. I’m an American voter who sees things differently than the president does. When Trump suggests using armed forces against citizens who disagree with him, he’s not protecting democracy. Seventy-eight percent of Americans think elected officials should avoid aggressive language because it provokes violence. Sixty-three percent say how we talk about politics encourages violence. This isn’t partisan. It’s about basic respect for everyone you represent. You need to condemn this rhetoric publicly. Not some vague statement about “civility on all sides.” A clear rejection of language that treats half the country like enemies. When the president calls Americans vermin and talks about using military force domestically, you don’t get to stay quiet. Seventy-three percent of voters worry about political violence. That language has consequences. It gives permission for the worst behavior. It destroys the idea that we’re all Americans even when we disagree. Call it out. Say it’s wrong. We’re counting on you to lead by example.
