Use your platform to speak against hate: condemn Trump's dangerous words

Please condemn Trump's recent statement targeting Democrats; please also condemn his statement about Robert Mueller. "Now with the death of Iran, the greatest enemy America has is the Radical Left, Highly Incompetent, Democrat Party! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DJT" This is a call to hatred. It is also a way to gin up stochastic violence. It is a wicked misuse of the presidential bully pulpit to foment hatred and division. Trump's post about the death of Robert Mueller does not bear repeating. I am sure you were horrified. Words matter. Words change peoples' minds and hearts; words shape our culture. Do you remember when John McCain confronted a woman who said that she couldn't trust Obama? And he said "no ma'am he's a decent family man that I just happen to have disagreements with." That's the way to do it. Don't reinforce a bad message by repeating it: say the opposite. Set the example of using words well, to unite, not divide. As an elected representative you have a duty to defend the constitution and to serve ALL of your constituents honorably: that includes leading by words and example not just voting on the floor.
