Impose an arms embargo on Israel for violating ceasefire

Israel's decision to unilaterally scrap the ceasefire agreement and launch a renewed assault on the densely populated Gaza Strip is an egregious violation of the agreement brokered just months ago. By attacking civilian targets and massacring families, including killing an Israeli captive held by Hamas, Israel has demonstrated a complete disregard for the terms of the ceasefire and international law. The retaliation against Gaza appears to be a desperate political move by Prime Minister Netanyahu to consolidate power and silence internal opposition at the expense of Palestinian lives. This reckless and illegal military escalation threatens to destabilize the entire region. To prevent further bloodshed and deter future violations, an immediate arms embargo must be imposed on Israel until it fully complies with the ceasefire terms, allows unfettered humanitarian aid into Gaza, and commits to a permanent end to hostilities. It is disgusting that Israel's warcrimes are being financed at the cost of American taxpayers and as your constituent I demand the USA ends all forms of military foreign aid to Israel.
