An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Protect immigrants and citizens being racially profiled and harmed by ICE

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

I'm writing because I just heard about the horrific Supreme Court ruling that sanctions ICE attacking kidnapping, and locking up brown and multilingual people, based solely on racial profiling. This violates the Constitution in multiple ways, as well as being inhumane and indefensible from a human rights standpoint. Many of these being targeted are citizens, too! I realize that the case is still in progress, and that Congress cannot affect a Supreme Court ruling, but I urge you to resist the overreach of ICE in other ways. Please support HR 4456 and S Res 341, which would stop ICE from detaining US citizens, and please consider introducing or sponsoring legislation that would prevent this kind of racial profiling and targeting of our neighbors. Please show the moral courage in this crucial moment to protect the people harmed by this administration's cruelty. Thank you.
