An open letter to the U.S. Senate

Co-Sponsor the National Climate Bank Act, S.283

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

As your constituent, I’m asking that you co-sponsor the National Climate Bank Act, S.283, introduced by Senators Markey and Van Hollen. This bill would provide $100 billion to a national climate bank, also called the Clean Energy and Sustainability Accelerator, which would attract real private investment and create millions of jobs. The bank will work by financing clean energy or energy efficiency projects that save people money on day one. Even better, a portion of those savings will be returned to the bank to make more investments that start this virtuous cycle all over again. This will lead to trillions of dollars in projects and help us cut emissions and create jobs in a big way. Importantly, 40 percent of all investments will go to disadvantaged communities, helping ensure a just and equitable transition to a net zero economy. President Biden endorsed this policy in his new American Jobs Plan. Please co-sponsor the National Climate Bank Act. Thank you.
