An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Stop letting people disappear

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

Please look into the arrest of Mahmoud Khalil, an activist at Columbia University who was detained by ICE. Mr. Khalil is a permanent resident of the US who was detained illegally for exercising free speech in defense of the millions of people in Gaza being eradicated by Israel. Is it wrong to be empathetic to the plight of children, mothers, sisters, brothers who are dying daily because of a lack of humanitarian aid? And now because of a lack of electricity orchestrated by a government? If this administration gets away with this, gets away with detaining R.E. Burke at the Canadian border for no reason, what comes next? Investigate these cases and make sure the executive branch is not just getting started with disappearing people. Democracy is dying because you won't wake up and do something.
