I Wondered What Kind of Person Followed Hitler. Now I Know: Congress and GOP.

I used to wonder how people followed Hitler. Now I’m watching it happen — step by step — in America. Donald Trump is not restoring the republic. He is dismantling it — proudly, deliberately, and with the help of a fully compromised Republican Party that votes YES to every abuse and smiles while doing it. In just 74 days: • Legal immigrants have been cuffed like criminals and deported to countries they’ve never lived in. • Elderly U.S. citizens are being harassed and interrogated for having the wrong name, the wrong religion, or the wrong skin color. • Books are banned, museums purged, and history rewritten to fit Trump’s fantasy. • January 6 rioters are pardoned and praised, while Trump threatens to imprison judges, governors, and journalists who oppose him. No one was fired for leaking classified military information — but Trump DID fire General Haugh and Wendy Noble for failing the loyalty test. As Lara Loomer said herself: “They have been disloyal to President Trump. That is why they have been fired.” This is no longer politics. This is authoritarianism. If you vote with him, you are complicit. “Just following orders” is not a defense. It never was. DO YOUR JOB — or resign and make room for someone unafraid to defend the Constitution. The republic is not dying in silence. We are watching, and we will remember.
