He who thinks he is "saving" his country is still beholden to laws

I'm writing to you as your constituent and a proud citizen of a democratic country. Donald Trump is moving closer into king territory every day. He is threatening to suspend the rule of law to go after his opinions and political goals, and he's making it clearer and clearer. At what point will you stand up to stop him?
What is saving a country to him and Elon? So far it seems like getting rid of any mention of climate change, ignoring inflation, befriending dictators like Putin at the expense of our European allies, firing thousands of civil servants regardless of performance, cancelling grants to researchers and farmers alike, and suggesting ethnic cleansing of Palestinians for a real estate purchase. Each step worse than the last, and years left in his term to continue down this path. Who knows where he will end?
Does any of this sound like saving the country? To me, it sounds like following in the steps of Hitler, down to banning science and gender ideology first. There is a quote from Martin Niemöller, a German pastor who lived through WWII that goes:
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
At what point are you standing up? At what point are you speaking out? Will you wait until every minority group has been put in concentration camps or will you stop the President from breaking laws under the misguided principle that he is "saving the country"?
Because to me, it seems like his idea of a "saved country" is one in which only white male landowners can vote, and female and poor and racially diverse persons have been pushed into silence, undoing the hundreds of years of work to gain civil rights for EVERY American.
I'm scared for American democracy. Why aren't you?
Sincerely,
