Investigate Dudek's Social Security Administration appointment, DOGE dealings

Congress must investigate Leland Dudek's appointment as acting head of the Social Security Administration and the sensitive information he shared with DOGE representatives. Dudek, a mid-level staffer with no executive experience, was put on administrative leave for cooperating with DOGE and circumventing protocol to provide them access. Despite this, President Trump swiftly elevated him to lead the agency overseeing benefits for over 70 million Americans after the previous acting commissioner resigned due to concerns around DOGE data access. Dudek's own admissions of working closely with DOGE, sharing executive contacts, and moving funds to analyze fraud raise alarms about inappropriate private data sharing. With Social Security holding highly personal information on virtually all Americans, any unauthorized access or mishandling is unacceptable. Congress has a duty to scrutinize Dudek's actions, assert oversight on DOGE's encroachment into federal systems, and safeguard this sensitive data. His rapid promotion without proper vetting undermines government integrity and public trust. A thorough, transparent investigation is warranted to determine if laws were violated and ensure Social Security's information remains secure.
