An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Oppose H.R.1579's Anti-LGBTQ+ Discrimination - Promote Dignity and Inclusion

2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

Defending the Rights and Dignity of Transgender Individuals in Congress H.R.1579 seeks to prohibit individuals employed by or affiliated with the U.S. House of Representatives from using bathrooms or changing facilities in the Capitol complex and House office buildings that do not correspond to the sex they were assigned at birth. This discriminatory measure undermines the dignity and well-being of transgender and non-binary individuals. It perpetuates harmful stigma and creates an unwelcoming, exclusionary environment. As public servants, we have a responsibility to uphold the rights and respect the identities of all people. I urge you to oppose H.R.1579 and instead support policies that promote inclusivity, equality, and respect for the LGBTQ+ community in our nation's halls of government.
