Do What’s Right RE: Epstein Files

You’ve advised multiple times that you have voted every time for transparency regarding the Epstein files. Why, then, is your signature not on Rep. Massie’s (R-KY-4) discharge petition? Why did you not cosponsor H.Res.581 along with your Florida colleagues Rep. Mills (R-FL-7) and Rep. Soto (D-FL-9)? Does it have anything to do with your attempted misleading of your constituents that the files could reasonably have been released during the Biden administration even though the DOJ/FBI investigation did not conclude until July 2025? You may deflect by saying, “But that was a discharge petition and a resolution, not voting on an actual bill,” and you would be *technically* correct, but again — misleading. There’s an upcoming chance to do the right thing. When Speaker Johnson finally was compelled to reconvene the House and swear in Rep. Grijalva (D-AZ-7), she was the final needed signature on the discharge petition. Once the ripening period has passed and Speaker Johnson is compelled to bring things to the floor for a vote, you can vote for transparency and justice by voting YEA to release the files. In the meanwhile, you can be vocal about standing up for what’s right. Speak out against POTUS’ attempts to get other House members to back off — be like Captain America and say, “I don’t like bullies.” Do not close your eyes to the 23,000 pages of documents from Epstein’s estate that the Senate is releasing. They are damning to POTUS no matter what WH Press Secretary Leavitt says. You’ve uncritically compromised with POTUS in the past, bringing a stain to your character, but it’s not too late to do what’s right. I beg you as your constituent, as a mother of two daughters, as a daughter who grew up abused, and as a Christian.
