As you continue to avoid my actual questions about Executive overreach and violations of due process, choosing instead to further promote the notion that we have an immigration problem that must be dealt with in an America First approach, I want to be crystal clear that I am not denying that an immigration problem exists. I'm growing tired of prefacing every message regarding immigration this way. I fully understand that there is an immigration problem.
There is also a problem in how it is being dealt with. ICE and the Trump Administration are blatantly disregarding the rule of law. Period.
I ask you, are 2, 4, and 7 year old U.S. Citizens a threat to our country? Would protecting these children, one of them with cancer and in need of medication, not fall into your America First agenda? Perhaps not, perhaps the agenda is missing a keyword. Do you mean to promote "White America First?"
Do not feed me the garbage that the mothers wanted the children to join them in deportation. Stop the lies. This is kidnapping.
When will you speak out against these crimes? When will republicans put human rights, human dignity, and rule of law above party allegiance and fealty to a tyrant? We grow tired of your excuses and ever more wary of the consequences. If you remain silent on this, you are complicit in these abductions. Stop hiding. Own your mistakes.
