An open letter to State Governors (N.Y. only)

Keep the mask mandate in place!

369 so far! Help us get to 500 signers!

I am writing to ask that you keep the mask mandate for public spaces and schools in place in New York State. Our state still has very high transmission of COVID-19. We are still in the midst of the Omicron surge and now BA.2, a more transmissible subvariant of Omicron, is spreading in New York. We know that masks and mask mandates work to stop the spread of the disease. Highly contagious variants like Omicron and BA.2 will not be the last variants of concern, and we should take a proactive approach to stopping another surge. Please listen to the science and keep the mask mandate in place. New Yorkers’ lives depend on it.
