Stop Trump’s Attack on Federal Workers' Bargaining Rights

The Trump administration’s executive order stripping collective bargaining rights from over a million federal employees is a direct attack on the workers who keep our government running. These are public servants—scientists, veterans’ care staff, security personnel—who show up every day to serve the American people. This order, framed under the guise of national security, is an unprecedented move to silence their voices and gut union protections (NPR, May 2025).
As a result, the American Federation of Government Employees is being forced to lay off over half its staff due to the sudden loss of member dues (AP, May 2025). This weakens the very organizations that advocate for fair treatment, safe workplaces, and efficient service delivery. At the same time, the administration is pushing mass layoffs across federal agencies. A federal judge issued a temporary restraining order against these firings, citing irreparable harm to both workers and the communities they serve (Reuters, May 2025).
This isn’t making America great—it’s undermining the people who serve it. I urge you to defend the rights of federal employees and restore collective bargaining protections immediately.
