Save Social Security with Common Sense Solutions

Senators Bill Cassidy and Tim Kaine have proposed "alternative funding" sources to shore up Social Security's forecasted future shortfall. Read more here https://www.newsweek.com/new-plan-proposed-save-social-security-2096601.  This approach is wrong-headed and overly complex. The simple solution of significantly lifting, or completely eliminating the cap on earnings should be the approach. Do not fall for gimmicks and overly engineered ideas when there is a common sense solution right in front of us.
