An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Rein In ICE: Investigate Fatalities and End the Deadly Pattern

235 so far! Help us get to 250 signers!

Demand a full, independent investigation into ICE's pattern of lethal force and deaths in custody. Ten people have been fatally shot by federal immigration officials since January 2025. Fifty-two people died in ICE detention in the first 500 days of this administration. These are not statistics — they are people who died under federal supervision with no accountability. Congress just handed ICE and CBP $70 billion. That money funds this. You have both the authority and the obligation to rein ICE in, demand transparency, and cut off funding until there are real, enforceable human rights standards in place. Human rights are not negotiable, and silence from Congress is complicity.
