Because you certainly didn’t convince we the people. Somehow you seem to have persuaded yourself that by putting Todd Blanche in control of DOJ that he will now somehow have more influence over potential mischief by the current commander-in-chief. Sir. Have you not been paying any attention at all? The president wants Todd Blanche because when he tells him to do something, he does it. Anything. Indict or persecute perceived enemies, political and other. Check. Mishandle and stonewall and keep concealed Epstein files DOJ has been required to provide under a law passed by you. Check. Work out, agree to, and sign a get-out-of-jail card for IRS scrutiny of the Trump empire. Check. And figure out how to pay off those Trump feels has been abused by the big bad Biden administration just because they were breaking the law. Check. The DOJ has become a laughingstock in the courts. It makes you wonder if there are actual lawyers left in their ranks. DOJ credibility is a relic of the past. So please, by all means, vote your ‘conscience’ and give this guy the key to our federal law enforcement. You don’t care. You’re being put out to pasture. It’ll be the next administration’s problem to clean up. If you could only realize how completely you have abdicated responsibility to your constituents and your country. If you could only take a clear-eyed look at what is happening to an agency that was always given the benefit of the doubt because of their perceived trustworthiness, but is now just another poodle for Trump. But by all means, spew whatever words you like to make yourself feel better about the wrongness of your actions. You should be so ashamed. But lack of shame is the GOP superpower. You all just really need to stop pretending you’ll ever do the right thing.
