An open letter to the U.S. Senate

Pass the Postal Service Reform Act and ELECTRIFY the Postal Fleet!

440 so far! Help us get to 500 signers!

Millions of people across America rely on the United States Post Office for getting things done in their lives every day. We must do everything we can to protect and strengthen this vital American institution. I support S 1720, the Postal Service Reform Act, which recently passed in the U.S. House in a bipartisan vote and is co-sponsored by more than two dozen Republicans and Democrats in the Senate. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy has called the legislation “vital to the United States Postal Service and the American people” and the Biden administration said it would advance the goal of “ensuring that the Postal Service delivers the highest quality, most reliable service possible to every American.” As your constituent, I call on you to support the Postal Service Reform Act and save the USPS now. Also, PLEASE stop Louis DeJoy from ordering all gas-powered vehicles for the new Postal Service fleet. We will never achieve our climate goals if he succeeds in pushing this contract through! These trucks should all be electric! Please make a statement saying so. Thanks.
