An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Co-Sponsor the Dignity for Detained Immigrants Act

128 so far! Help us get to 250 signers!

Today I’n writing to urge you to Co-sponsor the Dignity for Detained Immigrants Act. People held in immigration detention deserve basic human rights protections, and right now the system put in place by the Trump Administration fails them at every turn. We’ve seen deaths, and how detained individuals face overcrowding, inadequate medical care, and conditions that would be unacceptable in any other context where the government holds people in its custody. This bill is a straightforward commitment to humane treatment. Supporting it sends a clear message that we still stand for the dignity of every person, regardless of immigration status. I expect your co-sponsorship and your active support for moving this legislation forward. Thank you.
