NO to education cuts and YES to investing in public school

I’m writing to urge you to oppose any FY2026 federal budget bill that cuts funding for public schools. The House Appropriations Committee’s proposed cuts—nearly 30% to Title I, elimination of support for English Learners, and zeroing out college access and community school programs—would devastate our children’s futures. These cuts would mean overcrowded classrooms, fewer arts and technology programs, reduced mental health services, and diminished support for teacher recruitment and training. Every child deserves access to a well-funded, equitable education. I strongly support the Senate’s proposal to increase funding for Title I, IDEA, and rural schools. Please stand up for our students, educators, and communities. Say NO to education cuts and YES to investing in public schools.
