STOP INVASION OF RAFAH NOW

As of 4/23, approximately 34,100 - 42,500 Palestinians have been murdered by Israel since 10/7. Another grim milestone has passed today - the highest number ever of Palestinians held indefinitely hostage in administrative detention has been reached. Among those thousands include 22 children. I am disgusted that I live in and pay taxes to a country that thinks that this is not only okay but actively participates financially, diplomatically, and militarily. It is reprehensible that you have allowed $26 billion more of the tax payer money of hard working Americans go to Israel's genocide. When I heard that my country will be participating in the mass ethnic cleansing of Rafah in order for Israel's genocide to continue, I was beyond outraged. There is no where for them to go, so now you're going to take them from their land so that it can be utterly decimated. Just this weekend, after another Israeli bombardment of Rafah, a pregnant woman and her husband were murdered. Sabreen Sakani was 30 weeks pregnant. By what can only be described as a miracle, doctors at the Kuwaiti Hospital were able to save the baby's life via a posthumous cesarean section. The baby was born premature, weighing only 3lbs, and had to be cut out of her mother's dead body. She was named Sabreen after her mother. Sabreen faces monumentus challenges in only the first week of her life - as a premature baby, she requires specialized care, food, and appropriate isolation from contaminants because of her weak immune system. She cannot digest normal milk or formula. She very well may die from another bombardment or from lack of specialized medical care required for her. This is what you're spending my money on. Shame on you. I demand that you:  – Hold Israel accountable for a permanent, immediate ceasefire, their violations of the Genocide Convention, and gross human rights violations by any means necessary – Call for the immediate end of Israel’s occupation and apartheid and support Palestinians in their fight for freedom and peace – Secure the immediate release and safety of all Palestinians who have been abducted and held captive by Israel, including those whose indefinite detention began prior to 10/7 – Permanently end all monetary, diplomatic, and military aid given to Israel and enforce Leahy Law – Reallocate all funds given to Israel and commit additional resources for ongoing humanitarian relief for Palestinians starting with immediately resuming funding of UNRWA – Immediately withdraw all U.S. troops, military assets, and all other assets deployed throughout the Middle East and cease all actions that further escalate a larger regional conflict – Pass legislation that voids all anti-BDS laws at the federal level – Vote no on H.R. 7521 and any similar legislation proposed
