There are some things we know with certainty right now.
Trump is pro-Putin. And is tossing Ukraine to the Russian wolves to show his willingness to make a deal, any deal. Oh, and because he’s president because of Russia.
Trump appears to be an economic idiot. What has worked for him in his business life is no way to run the world’s largest economy. Chaos does not serve the country on any metric. Ask the stock market.
Elon Musk is destroying the federal structure. The stone he has tossed into the water is rippling across the world. His is the opposite of an efficient operation. He’s saving pennies but costing us dollars. And no one is controlling him. And apparently can’t if they wanted to.
We are watching a true witch-hunt in action, under the guise of rooting out anything smacking of the dreaded DEI. This is the closest thing we’ve seen to the thought police actualized.
DEI can be whatever the powers-that-be say it is.
What a BS way to run a government.
But whatever. We’ll sit and watch our economy slowly, or maybe quickly, wither under Trump’s brilliant economic plans. We’ll watch Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid all take the hit so rich folk can get tax breaks.
We’ll watch while our bureaucratic framework is decimated from within so y’all will be able to finally say ‘See, it all sucks,’ when nothing works anymore.
When nothing works, when the country is broke, and broken, when people are suffering for our own good, when we are a pariah in the world, barricaded behind walls of our own making, will the GOP finally be happy?
And will you be able to convince us that we’re happy too?
