Sign on to the: Smith, Warren, Merkley, Markey, and Sanders Debt Ceiling letter.

I'm a constituent and it's my understanding that Sens. Smith, Warren, Merkley, Markey, and Sanders have been circulating a letter amongst their colleagues to collect support for Biden to lift the debt ceiling without any help from House Republicans. I want you to please sign on to this letter. It appears to be clear that the 14th Amendment allows—and requires—the President to raise the debt ceiling in order to meet our obligations. Biden should do so now. The Republicans are negotiating in bad faith. They want to tank the economy. They want chaos and then will blame Biden. Also, everyday Democrats should remind the public that Republicans raised the debt ceiling three times with no pre-conditions when Trump was in office. Three times! Debt Ceiling pre-conditions is not a norm. Thanks.
