Stop Trump's attempts to destroy Social Security, challenge his blatant lies

Trump's baseless and blatant lies about Social Security during his Joint Address to Congress, including his false claim that people as old as 150 are fraudulently receiving benefits, are a clear attempt to undermine public trust in this vital program. These lies echo his "Big Lie" about the 2020 election and seem designed to lay the groundwork for devastating cuts or privatization schemes that would destroy Social Security as we know it. Numerous authoritative sources, including Trump's own Acting Social Security Commissioner, the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, and major media outlets, have definitively debunked these claims. Such egregious falsehoods cannot go unchallenged. We urgently request an immediate public hearing before the Ways and Means Committee to interrogate these allegations. If Trump can provide facts to substantiate his claims, an apology will be owed. However, if his statements are proven false, as overwhelming evidence indicates, he owes an apology to the American people for trying to dismantle Social Security through disinformation.
