$$$ for Billionaires Bombs and Booty but not for People Prosperity or the Planet

Dollars for Billionaires, Bombs, Booty and Border-terror, but never money for People, Prosperity or the Planet. Congressional Democrats must begin to plan for the time ‘after Trump’ and end the era of rapacious NeoLiberalism that is destroying our Democracy, our nation and the world. Trump didn’t begin this era, but he’s dramatically accelerated it. A majority of the American People are finally awake to the fact that our Democracy is not working for them at all - but see that it’s working wonderfully for billionaires and corporations and their enablers in Congress - of both parties. It is clear from recent elections that to win, Democratic Party policies must be radically different from the past, that they must offer meaningful change, they must offer real implementable solutions, and they must end the era of collaborating and kowtowing to billionaires as do most Republicans. In other words, the American people want change that will make their lives better, now, and insure a better life for their kids. It’s far past time to help the people a lot, and bring the wealthy and corporations sharply to heel. These policies must include: • Declaring a National Medical Care Emergency, and inacting Medicare For All • Big tax increases on the rich and corporations • Public funding of all federal elections • Voting rights guarantees, ranked choice voting, and the end to gerrymandering • Wealth taxes and stock transaction fees • Vigorous tax and anti-trust enforcement • Rejoining the world community in trade and addressing the Climate Catastrophe • A turn away from extractive imperialism and toward genuine world charity • Legislative protection for the health of the planet and its creatures • Real support for organized labor - including repeal of Taft-Hartley • Legislative protections bolstering the First Amendment • Legislative protections for higher education • Declaration of a Climate Emergency, with nationalization of the fossil fuel industry • Dramatic reductions in “Defense and Security” spending - which provide neither • Earnest negotiations with world powers to eliminate nuclear weapons • Humane and rational immigration enforcement and reform • The end of support for foreign regimes committing war crimes and crimes against humanity • The end of domestic surveillance and manipulation by the DHS, FBI, NSA, DEI, ICE etc • Federal court expansion and ethics reform • Declaring an ‘Income Inequality Emergency’ to provide aid to struggling Americans As you begin the 2026 campaign season, impress upon your Democratic Party colleagues the necessity of taking very strong, progressive positions that will appeal to and actually make America work for the American People!
