Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas.
Surely we’re all being gaslighted by every headline that tells us the GOP is gaining odds to sweep in the midterms?
Gaslighted by polls. Gaslighted by GOP rhetoric. Gaslighting is the name of the game.
Because if your candidates keeping sticking their big feet in their eternally open mouths, I respectfully disagree with your odds. Well, except in my home state perhaps. But miracles do happen occasionally.
Look at Kansas. That’s what I keep my eye on. Past evidence at the polls.
Women are powering the turnout. Y’all can rail against inflation, gas prices, crime, invasion at our border…we all know that these are perennial items on your attack list. And we all know that either you never actually try to address these issues OR your power is limited to really do anything effective when the whole world is fighting inflation right now.
But taking away womens’ bodily autonomy? That’s a permanent.
And just when y’all try to act more reasonable on the topic, here comes Dr. Oz to snap us back to reality. Once again a woman will be allowed to make decisions based on her, her doctor, AND whatever elected official may be in vogue at the moment.
State oversight of our bodies does not sit well with us. So, keep talking. Y’all keep revitalizing our outrage every day in every way.
