Make Mike Braun Keep Trump’s Promise of Lower Energy Prices!

Unprecedented electric bill increases are being imposed by Indiana's monopoly utilities. As revealed in a recent analysis by Citizens Action Coalition, residential customers across the state are facing the most severe bill hikes in at least two decades. Trump promised lower energy prices and micro-Trump Mike Braun should keep that promise. Just one year ago, my electric bill was manageable, but now Hoosiers are seeing increases of nearly $50 per month in some cases. This is simply unacceptable. The statewide average increase of over $28 per month represents a 17.5% jump - nearly double last year's record increase. These price hikes are putting enormous financial strain on families who can barely afford their basic needs. What's particularly troubling is that these increases come despite utilities already earning more profit than allowed by regulators. Companies like NIPSCO, CenterPoint, Duke Energy Indiana, and AES Indiana are exploiting their monopoly status to raise rates with little regard for the impact on consumers. I urge you to: 1. Immediately investigate these excessive rate increases 2. Reject any further rate hike requests until a thorough review is completed 3. Implement measures to protect consumers from such drastic price hikes in the future As a resident of Indiana, I expect better oversight and protection from our regulatory agencies. These monopoly utilities should not be allowed to continue slamming Hoosiers with historic bill hikes while state leaders claim to care about affordability. Enough is enough - something must change soon.
