The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has documented a record-breaking 3,697 incidents in 2022, with harassment incidents in Florida rising by 51% and vandalism by 15%. The role of social media platforms in amplifying and spreading such hateful content is equally disturbing. It is imperative to confront this issue directly by denouncing these acts and establishing preventative measures. Governor DeSantis' silence and inaction could be interpreted as implicit endorsement, fostering an environment of fear and hostility. Therefore, we urge immediate action to condemn these incidents and to develop a comprehensive strategy to counter hate speech and antisemitism.
