Democrats are understandably frustrated by the Trump administration's actions that undermine democratic norms and institutions. However, there are valid constraints on how far the minority party can go in obstructing the president's agenda through Congress. The best path forward is to channel that energy into building a coalition to win back the House majority in 2024 and serve as a more effective check on the presidency. In the meantime, every legal and procedural tool should be utilized to push back against unacceptable overreach, while making a persuasive case to the American people about the importance of restoring democratic guardrails. Ultimately, voters will render the final verdict on Trump's conduct.
