An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Investigate and remove officials who threatened voting rights

Investigate and Remove Officials Who Threatened Voting Rights Investigate and remove any administration official who threatened to suppress, discard, or invalidate the votes of American citizens. The right to vote and have that vote counted is the foundation of this republic. Threatening to take it away is not a policy dispute. It is an attack on the people this government exists to serve. No official, regardless of title or position, has the authority to undermine a constitutional right. If members of this administration coordinated efforts to deny or discount lawful votes, that is not a political matter to be debated. It is a crime, and it demands accountability through every legal mechanism available, including removal from office. I expect action, not statements. Investigate what happened, pursue every legal avenue to remove those responsible, and make clear that no one in government is above the Constitution they swore to protect.
