I am writing to urge you to vote NO on HB2703 when it reaches the full House. This bill would impose unnecessary barriers to voting and disenfranchise thousands of Arizonans.
Longer lines, fewer ballots counted – This bill forces over 250,000 voters who drop off ballots on Election Day to stand in line, creating chaos at the polls.
Rural, elderly, and tribal voters at risk – Many rely on ballot drop-offs due to long travel distances, slow mail, or accessibility issues.
Election officials oppose this – County recorders warn of confusion, staffing shortages, and increased costs.
Voters have already expressed their opposition to similar proposals in past elections, rejecting any attempt to make voting harder. This bill goes against the will of the people and should not move forward.
Arizona’s elections are already secure and reliable. HB2703 is a solution in search of a problem that will only make voting harder. Please stand up for Arizona voters and vote NO on HB2703.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
