Teach ALL U.S. history in N.C. schools

Critical race theory in its most fundamental way is not being taught K-12 schools. What is being addressed is systemic barriers that have harmed students of color. This is important for ALL students to learn – as a white adult with strong roots in NC, I didn’t learn anything about the South or the Wilmington Coup of 1898. It’s likely that my ancestors took part in that Coup, and I should have learned about it in school. I am opposed to efforts to ban critical race theory & other elements of American history in North Carolina schools. I appreciate your fighting against this legislation, and I will be sharing my thoughts with Sen. Berger and Rep. Moore as well.
