We all know, and see, the corruption of the current administration. We read about something new every day. These people are getting richer by the minute. Which makes one wonder why the GOP always bitches about the government, when it’s such a golden goose.
In the wrong hands anyway.
So corruption is a given at this point. These are the business masters of corporate America after all. They know how to make money with every opportunity presented, so why wouldn’t they grab the gold? Who’s stopping them?
But that kind of talent doesn’t mean they’re competent leaders. And just like the corruption, every day we’re reading about another gobsmacking incompetence event.
In fact the corruption of the administration is evenly matched by its incompetence.
Example. In September, hackers broke into the FBI jobs portal and stole information about nearly every FBI employee. As well as more than 8,000 state and local law enforcement officers who had worked with FBI agents.
The hacked data included names, home addresses, cell phone numbers, FBI email addresses and employee ID numbers. Also personal identifying information for emergency contacts, including their Social Security numbers and personal email addresses.
According to FBI officials and outside experts the breach is a counterintelligence disaster. One of the worst in US history. The information not only exposes the people involved, but also enables adversaries to figure out US priorities. And reveals who is working on what.
One cybersecurity expert at the FBI said the cause of the breach was “definitely incompetence.” The information should never have been linked to the internet, the expert said. “It belonged on our internal system and some dumbass moved it all” to a system connected to the internet.
This expert told reporters that in on-line chats the FBI obtained, the hackers wrote they couldn’t believe that the hack of such important information was so easy.
And this is only one instance. What else hasn’t yet been uncovered and reported on?
Where is the GOP Congress? Why aren’t they investigating the myriad of incompetent actions that are resulting in putting our country in dangerous territory?
How about instead of trying to bribe us with various promises of checks in the mail, and trying to convince us y’all deserve to keep your jobs, your current government starts trying to govern? That’s supposed to be the job you’re trying so hard to hang on to.
