Despite Musk being a psychopath, he's still absolutely right about this ridiculous, immoral budget. Even the CBO acknowledges that it'll add 3 trillion to our debt, putting it on the shoulders of the bottom 50% of Americans.
The top 10% control 85% of the $200 trillion our economy is worth - a staggering $170 trillion. The bottom 90% holds only $30 trillion. If we at the bottom sold EVERYTHING we own to pay the debt, we'd still be left with $6 trillion in debt. The top 10% could pay off the debt and still have $134 trillion to enjoy.
The GOP mantra has been, "but the debt! But the debt!" Well, if we are ever going to pay it off, the ones who actually have all the money will have to do it. The rest of us can't.
Stop giving tax cuts to the wealthy. They've already taken too much from us already. They need to pay MORE taxes, not less. This increasing wealth gap is unsustainable. At some point, as history has shown repeatedly, the masses will rise up and take it. Stop this before it get to that point.
