Oppose the One Big Beautiful Bill

I can’t stress enough how strongly I am opposed to the “one big beautiful bill.” There are far too many provisions within this one bill to be adequately considered, which is fundamentally wrong in and of itself. For all of this administration’s talk about cutting federal spending, this bill doesn’t do that. Instead, it adds to our deficit. It cuts valuable programs that help people and replaces them with tax cuts for the wealthy and out of control spending for ICE to enrich the private prison industry and terrorize our communities. We all know that the only reason many Representatives are supporting this bill at all is because of concerns about re-election. They don’t want to anger Donald Trump. That is cowardly and unjust. I hope that you will have principles that go beyond doing what Trump wants. As it stands, this bill is neither conservative nor fiscally responsible. I urge you to stand strong against this bill and defend the American people.
