Congressional Dems - KEEP FIGHTING. Lead with courage and conviction!

I'm writing to you today because as your constituent, I am concerned about the state of our ability to oppose the MAGA agenda, Trump, Elon Musk, and the Republicans in Congress. While recent activity has been greatly welcomed, we need to see that our elected officials are just as angry and active as we are, and willing to take whatever steps are within their power to preserve our democracy and protect the rule of law. We need coordinated, daily press conferences, held by the Congressional Democratic Caucus, united behind a single message, outlining how the Administration is harming everyday people, whole offering a bold alternative. We need to engage diverse and passionate social media influencers to share these press conferences and these messages on their chosen platforms. We need a highly-organized Democratic war room that fights misinformation, responds strategically and in a timely manner, and gives citizens specific calls to action. We need more speech - on the floor, in local and national media, on podcasts, radio, digital spaces, and others, before both receptive and unfriendly audiences. We need smart, parliamentary opposition that will slow the operation of Congress; filibusters, quorum calls, and any other procedural steps that will halt a Republican Party that is unwilling to do its duty. We need more legal action, more lawsuits, more investigations, and an increased willingness to work with outside organizations, advocates, unions, state partners, and others to seek redress through the courts. We need Representatives and Senators unwilling to take “no” for an answer when they are denied entry to federal agencies and departments they themselves have voted to fund. Right now, as we see our institutions gutted, we are looking to you and your colleagues to lead with courage and conviction. If our elected officials are unsure how to react, what message does that send to the people who are counting on your stalwart leadership to inspire our own? Now, it's up to you to be louder still; to stand taller, lock arms, and be the opposition party that we need you to be. Thank you.
