Mid-term vanity fest in Dallas. Marginally attended by any other than the usual cult. The usual rambling screed from the president. Everything everywhere for eternity going forward is the fault of the Biden administration.
Topped off with a loyalty pledge and an offer of $5K IF the GOP maintains a majority come November.
The entertainment factor for all this is becoming zero. The grifting is pathetic. And regardless of the false brag, a fraction of America actually watched this silliness on Fox. And viewership in no way topped the opening NFL game.
It’s just all becoming too desperate to even get annoyed by.
But there are still a few zingers managed…
A video from the Republican National Committee intoned: “And on June 14th, 1946, God looked down on his planned paradise and said, ‘I need a caretaker,’ so God gave us Trump.”
The pledge…
“I pledge to the greatest president in the history of the United States -- that loves us so much he can't even breathe," he recited in a call and response with the crowd. “That I will go out with my family, my friends, I'll do it any way -- I don't care if I'm registered or not, I'm going to try to cheat like hell like they do," he rambled. “And we are going to vote."
"You know what happens if you don't vote?" Trump asked. "You go to hell."”
Then from a Texas senator…
An attendee at the mid-term convention in Dallas on Thursday night could be clearly heard calling for Democratic Senate candidates to be shot.
Sen. Ted Cruz, who was delivering a speech when the attendee shouted out, did not react to the outburst in the moment. A spokeswoman for Cruz declined to say whether the senator had heard it.
But Cruz’s social media account later posted a clip of his speech in which a man in the audience shouted three times, “He should be shot!” — when Cruz talked about New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Democratic Senate nominees Abdul El-Sayed of Michigan and James Talarico of Texas.
Coincidence, right?
Keep it up guys. You are the best advertisements for why Dems are going to sweep come November that money can buy.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, the ripples caused by the stone Trump threw into the pond that is the Middle East is steadily increasing.
Maybe the president should just stay home and fix that?
