Abolish the Death Penalty

Thank you for signing on to Rep. Bush and Bell’s request to Pres. Biden to abolish the death penalty. Amid all the posturing for unity, we must not forget that accountability must come first - and that cannot happen without recognition of the systemic injustices that disproportionality affects people of color in our country. As evidenced by Riley Williams’ release after stealing Speaker Pelosi’s laptop, there are two very different standards. The death penalty is where this injustice starts and ends. State sanctioned executions are unacceptable and do nothing to contribute to the safety of our society. Thank you for your support of this initiative, may it be a successful start of a renewed effort towards reform of our justice system.
