Analogy of the week: On March 6 a SpaceX Starship rocket exploded during an unmanned test flight not long after liftoff in Boca Chica, Texas, leading to an explosion that left debris falling over the Caribbean.
I’ll point out to non-Texas residents that March 6 is also the day the Alamo fell to the Mexican army.

But back to some questions we need answers to…
The SSA is now being made better. And by made better I mean potentially and dramatically eviscerated.
The agency’s overhaul is being led by acting commissioner Leland Dudek, though he has admitted that he’s not the one actually making the decisions.
“People are coming in from the outside. They’re unfamiliar with the nuances of our agency,” Dudek responded when asked who is in charge. “It’s DOGE – not the DOGE kids, it’s the DOGE management.”
Who will take responsibility when my social security payments are disrupted?
Even Trump voters are waking up.
After being laid off from his federal job in WV, James, 42, said he worries about making his mortgage payment and feeding his five children. At a rally last week he marched with a sign criticizing Musk and said he regretted voting for Trump.
"They are pretty much just coming here, chopping heads off, without really doing their homework," James said. "He got elected president and he's doing a lot of things that people never even imagined that he was going to do to us."
Incredulity that Trump is actually doing what he said he would, but you thought you would be immune? Nothing like losing a job that you assumed would be safe to make you see the light.
How will you assure your own voters this is happening for their own good?

Since Trump sat in the Oval Office and said ‘of course’ Putin is going to escalate damage to Ukraine because ‘why wouldn’t he, who wouldn’t?’, he gave the green light to do exactly that and more.
Trump has tossed Ukraine to Russia in every way available to him. But you know that.
Why? Does Trump really believe that giving Russia more room to destroy Ukraine is the way to a deal? Does he really believe Putin wants to negotiate in good faith? Does he really believe Putin will make any concessions?
If he does, he is a simpleton. History shows otherwise.
Neville Chamberlain believed that Hitler wouldn’t violate the Munich deal because Hitler respected him. Trump shares that delusion about Putin. He thinks they have a relationship of mutual admiration.
In reality they have a relationship of puppet and master.
Lastly some words we could stand to hear from our own Congress:
“Washington has become the court of Nero: an incendiary emperor, submissive courtiers, and a buffoon on ketamine tasked with purging the civil service.
We were at war with a dictator; now we are fighting against a dictator supported by a traitor.”
