Actually listening to the taped conversation between the GA Secretary-of-State and Pres. Trump is absolutely mind-boggling. Someone needed to call in a hostage negotiator. OMG.
Carl Bernstein suggested this might be the ultimate smoking gun. I would suggest it’s business as usual in Mr. Trump’s world. And by BAU I mean insane. But someone very concerned was brave enough to share it with America.
It was an incoherent stream-of-conscience babble from the psyche of someone so submerged in conspiracy theories that, in a normal world, a psych intervention would be called for.
People. Y’all need to seriously, really step up and make a stand. If you call yourself a real, conservative Republican, you can’t possibly abide such an abuse of power, regardless of the political affiliation of the president.
One of you was a judge. One of you claims to be a fervent constitutionalist. You all claim to be loyal Americans. You even took an oath to that effect when you took your current jobs.
In a few years, when Mr. Trump and his ilk are hopefully, please, long forgotten, you’re going to be embarrassed at your inactions. If you don’t make a stand now.
Better late than never is better than never at all. You still have time.
