Resistbot Petition: Pass the Gun Violence Prevention and Community Safety Act now!
An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Pass the Gun Violence Prevention and Community Safety Act now!

936 so far! Let’s get to 1,000 signers!

I’m thrilled to hear that U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren and Congressman Hank Johnson have re-introduced The Gun Violence Prevention and Community Safety Act, a sweeping bill that would keep dangerous individuals from having guns, require responsible gun use and storage, keep weapons of war off our streets, crack down on gun trafficking, improve oversight of gun dealers, hold the gun industry accountable, and invest in gun violence prevention research.  Now that the first federal report on guns and violence in over twenty years has been published, we know this is the time for this legislation. As my representative I want you to co-sponsor this bill—its numbers are H.R.286 and S.5299—and see it through to passage. Gun violence is a top concern of mine. Thanks.
