Hold Senate Hearings to expose Hegseth's harmful policies

Since the House is not in session, I will not reiterate calls to start the long-overdue impeachment of Pete Hegseth. Instead, I ask the Senate to hold hearings and use the subpoena power of all relevant committees to investigate what Hegseth is doing and how he is undermining the strength, talent, and constitutionality of the military. Hegseth is manifestly compromising our military strength. His blatant racism, misogyny, incompetence, intemperate language, and propensity for illegal and unconstitutional actions including war crimes--- all these damaging traits have been visible in many spheres of his activity. Now he has fired 20% of the top generals and admirals; he has created a dubious Pentagon Office of Religious Affairs; he is instituting testosterone tests. And he appeared at a public event where the visuals echoed a Hitler rally. He also continues to give orders that lead to war-crimes. He is creating a hostile workplace for many groups in service. The Senate needs to step up and take his harmful and even sometimes illegal and unconstitutional conduct and policies seriously. There were no consequences for Signalgate: there should have been. PLEASE Do your job. You and Hegseth swore to defend the Constitution. Hold him to account. Make him explain what he is doing and why. Demand evidence. Ask him about his tattoos and affiliation with forbidden groups. The degradation of our military by Hegseth is a national security emergency. The Senate needs to act
