Alex and Renee’s deaths are not isolated incidents but symptoms of ICE’s inherent lawlessness. The administration's personnel changes appear designed to deflect attention while the underlying tactics and disdain for the courts continue unchanged. I urge you to use every available legislative tool including a partial government shutdown to demand accountability. Block appropriations bills that fund ICE. Investigate and remove officials who enable this conduct. Vote against confirmations of officials who would allow this conduct to continue. Thank you.
