Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas.
What a wonderfully unexpected development in the morning’s impeachment proceedings.
Instead of an assumed fix, the GOP senators will instead be forced to actually participate in the democratic process.
We, the American people, stand in favor of hearing from any and every witness. A ‘trial’, even a purely political one, should examine all facets. It doesn’t seem to me that a quest for truth and clarity should be considered a partisan issue.
Especially in this particular instance. Going forward will determine appropriate presidential behavior for generations to come. That is not a matter to be gotten though as quickly as possible, in the name of a false cry for unity.
Democracy is working.
